Edwin McCain performs for free pre-fest Shindig Oct 24th: Could you ask for more?

The organizers of the Lexington Barbecue Festival anticipate that music enthusiasts will be thrilled with the lineup for the 40th Anniversary celebrations at the Jammin' at the AMP Pre-Pig Shindig. Attendees can look forward to an unforgettable evening featuring artist Edwin McCain, known for Top 40 hits including "I'll Be" and "I Could Not Ask for More."

Jammin’ at the AMP will be held at the Breeden Amphitheater in Lexington, NC, on Oct 24th from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. A variety of food trucks and Budweiser beverages will be available for purchase. Guests are encouraged to bring friends, family, and lawn chairs for an enjoyable night of music and pre-fest celebration.

Admission to the Pre-Pig Shindig is free. A donation of five cans or boxes of food per person will help Pastor’s Pantry address senior hunger in Davidson County. Donations will be collected at the amphitheater entrance.

Edwin McCain will take the outdoor stage after a high-energy rock, country, and Southern soul band intro from Chris Taylor & The Rumor, who describe their music as "the most authentic tribute to the greatest pop, rock, and soul."

Sponsored by Lexington Utilities, this event serves as the official kickoff for the Lexington 40th Anniversary Barbecue Festival, set for Saturday, October 26. This festival is one of the Southeast's most anticipated food events, featuring legendary Lexington-style barbecue, multiple live music stages, arts and crafts vendors, and family-friendly activities.
