CREEK WEEK: Free fishing and kayaking

Join us at Lake Thom-A-Lex Saturday, April 15 from 4pm to 7pm for an afternoon of free fishing and kayaking.

Lake Thom-A-Lex, located at 700 Yokley Road, Lexington, was created jointly by the cities of Thomasville and Lexington as the sole drinking water supply in 1957. Over the years the lake was identified as an opportunity to develop recreational facilities to serve the community.

The Lake Thom-A-Lex authority enforces rules, ordinances and regulations adopted by the respective cities for operation of the lake. The authority consists of one elected official from the cities of Lexington and Thomasville and Davidson County. In addition, the elected bodies appoint one citizen who resides in Davidson County. Members of this authority also constitute the Water Quality Advisory Committee
