Lexington Senior High School Principal arrested for DWI

Public records indicate that Jermaine Lee Porter, who is currently the Principal at Lexington Senior High School, was arrested for Driving While Impaired in Guilford County on November 1, 2024.

This information has been confirmed by school official and Guilford County.

Porter was appointed as the new Principal of Lexington Senior High School. Prior to this role, he served as the Director of Human Resources and Equity with the Alamance-Burlington School System. The Lexington City Schools Board of Education approved his appointment during their monthly meeting on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.

Lexington City Schools (LCS) released the following statement concerning the matter. "The district is aware of recent reports involving charges brought in Guilford County against an LCS staff member.  Since this involves a confidential personnel matter, we are not able to comment further at this time."
