Press Release: Democratic Women to host Bold and Blue Fundraiser
The Democratic Women of Davidson County (DWDC) would like to invite you to attend its Third Annual Bold and Blue Fundraiser. The theme this year is “Democracy First.” The theme represents the desire to support candidates who will act to preserve personal freedoms and individual liberty for ALL citizens. The money raised will be used to support local and state Democratic candidates running for office this November.
We are pleased to have several state candidates joining us this year. Featured speakers will include Mo Green, candidate for Superintendent of Public Education, Sarah Taber, candidate for Commissioner of Agriculture, Jessica Holmes, candidate for State Auditor, and Lexington Mayor Jason Hayes as Special Guest Speaker. You will also hear from the candidates running for the state offices of NC House District 80 Kimberly Titlebaum, NC House District 81 Pamela McAfee, and NC Senate District 30 Tina Royal.
The DWNC will be commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the reorganization of Democratic Women of Davidson County after the organization had gone dormant. The women who successfully brought this organization back to life with be recognized and thanked. This fundraiser would not be happening if not for their efforts all those years ago.
In addition to the good company and fellowship, there will be heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash wine and beer bar to enjoy. This year we also will have a limited Silent Auction. Additionally, there will be a banned book table where you can choose a book or two and offer a donation. The popular cork pull will let wine lovers take a chance on getting a bottle of their favorite wine or winning a wine that may become a new favorite.

The Bold and Blue will take place on Thursday, May 16, at the historic Finch House in Thomasville at 17 East Main Street from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Tickets are available for sale until May 11th.
