Dust off your leather jacket, put on your poodle skirt, and get ready to show off your talent and passion for musical theater. Arts Davidson County and Lexington Live are thrilled to announce auditions for the upcoming production of "Grease: The Musical" with book, music, and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. “Grease” is being presented at Arts Theater 202 by a special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. This production will be directed by Tristan Beck and will feature the music direction of Sam Stowe and the choreography of Sabrina Uphoff. The stage manager and assistant to the director will be Jacob Charles Luck.
If you are ready to step into the shoes of Danny, Sandy or one of the beloved characters from Rydell High, here is your chance to shine on stage and to be a part of an iconic show! Whether you're a seasoned performer or new to the stage, you are invited to join this open call for auditions and all are welcome. To audition, all you have to do is prepare a song that showcases your skills and personality and fill out the registration form below
Auditions will be held on Monday June 12, 2023 at 4:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 4:00 PM at 202 North Main Street in Lexington. The performances run from August 11, 2023 through August 13, 2023. Performance times and other tentative dates will be announced.
