With the sweetest holiday peeking around the corner, it's time to plan how you'll celebrate Valentine's Day this year. Why not do so locally in Lexington, the town you love most? Not sure how, or what to do? Don’t worry, we have you covered!

Although Valentine's Day is perceived as a holiday for couples, it can be so much more than that!  While it can be spent with a significant other, it can also be spent with children, friends, and other family members. Single and ready to mingle? We’ve got you, too. When living in Davidson County, there are many sweet ways to spend Valentine's Day, no matter who you spend it with. From various events to different lively date night ideas, there's seriously something for everyone. 

One of the best things about this special holiday is that you don't have to limit the fun to just one day. Valentine events begin days before the holiday. Why not celebrate it throughout the week?

Thursday, February 10th

Gal’entine’s 

Ladies round up your best gals and join Old Homeplace Vineyard (OHV) and Artsy Daisy Paint for a sip and paint night to celebrate your loving friendship! The price is $50 per person and includes all supplies needed to paint, as well as one complimentary glass of OHV award winning wine. Purchase your tickets online or stop by the tasting room ASAP. Friday, February 11th

Cupcakes & Cider

Looking for the sweetest way to celebrate? Visit Bull City Ciderworks at 599 S. Railroad St in Lexington for their cupcake & cider pairing event. Tickets are limited and include two of your favorite Bull City ciders and two regular size cupcakes provided by Sinfully Delicious anytime between 3pm-9pm.If you missed the pre-sale, there will be a limited number of cupcakes available for purchase the day of the event while supplies last. Take Home Charcuterie Board

If you prefer a romantic night in, make it even more special with a bottle of wine and a dessert charcuterie board. Arts Davidson County has paired up with local artisans, Sophie's Cork & Ale and several other local businesses to bring you a decadent way to celebrate Valentine's Day at home. For just $80, your ticket will help support future endeavors of Arts Davidson County and provide you with a beautiful hand-crafted charcuterie board filled with sweet treats (a true piece of art, crafted by one of our local Davidson County artists) and a fantastic bottle of wine. When purchasing your ticket, please be sure to select your preference of wine. Dancing and Live Entertainment

Experience the nightlife Uptown Lexington has to offer for an unforgettable night:

  • Goose and The Monkey Brew House (GMBH) 401 S. Railroad St. Lexington, NC 27292 is hosting a Vinyl Night music event 6pm-9pm. Bring a vinyl to the event, and the host will spin a track of your choosing, and he will share some of his favorite selections as well. Cheesecakes By Alex will also be on site for a sweet treat while supplies last from 4PM-10PM.

  • Wine Down with the ones you love at Weathervane Winery’s “Wine Down Friday Night”  with DJ Mark Tuttle 6pm-9pm. Cover is only $5 located at 1452 Welcome-Arcadia Rd in Lexington, NC 27292

  • Enjoy live music at Midway Music Hall and Event Center 11141 Old US Hwy. 52 Winston-Salem, NC 27107 From 7pm-9pm. With a cover charge of  $10, you can dance the night away to the Muddy Creek Revival Band.

Saturday, February 12th

Visit a Local Brewery

Stop by one of Lexington’s wonderful breweries on Railroad St., within walking distance of one another, allowing you to easily enjoy both venues with your loved ones.

  • Goose and the Monkey Brewhouse’s Galentine Pop-Up Market is a great way to kick-off your love filled Saturday. From 11am-5pm you can shop local vendors, enter to win prizes, and more. 

  • Right around the corner at Bull City Ciderworks enjoy live music with Mark Taylor from 6pm-9pm

Valentine’s at a Vineyard

Who doesn’t love to be wined and dined? Especially during the most romantic holiday of the year. 

  • Childress Vineyards, 1000 Childress Vineyard Rd. Lexington, NC 27292, is making the holiday easy for you. You can enjoy a “Sweetheart Tasting” from 11am-2pm. Enjoy live music on the terrace 1pm-4pm. With your meal, you will receive a complimentary glass of your favorite OHV award winning wine. Create Something Beautiful Together

Tap into your creative side as you create a masterpiece you’ll be sure to love and treasure at one of the instructional paint classes offered in Davidson County. 

  • The Gate, located at 31 Salem St. in Thomasville is set to offer two separate paint classes in celebration of Valentine’s Day. The first class at 10am is a Mommy N’ Me Love Moon Paint class. This sweet class is designed for whimsy, fun and love. The canvases are 11x14 and put together with your little one for the sweetest Valentine experience. The cost for each parent and child is $40.

  •  At 5pm, The Gate will offer a Valentine’s Date Night Paint class. For only $50 per couple, you will receive two 11X14 canvases to create a guided masterpiece. Also included, each couple will receive a half dozen of chocolate covered strawberries to sweeten the deal. 

  • Art 101 is at  25 E. Center St, in Lexington. At 6pm they are hosting an instructional kids “Jumbo Love” paint class. This precious artwork will be created on 9x12 canvas. This class  is for ages 6-12 and the cost is $25 . Prepayment is required. 

Live Music & Dancing

Dance the night away and create lasting memories at one of Davidson County’s popular venues.

  • Midway Music Hall & Event Center cordially invite you to celebrate at their Valentine’s Dance from 7pm-9pm. 11141 Old US Hwy. 52 Winston-Salem, NC 27107. You will enjoy live music with Jimmy Shirley Jr. and the 8 Track 45 Band. There is a cover charge of $10.

Sunday, February 13th

Vineyards & Live Music

Another chance to celebrate your love with wine and live music at a beautiful local vineyard.

Create Something Beautiful Together…again

It’s Valentine’s Day-Eve, and another opportunity to make art with your love, or even solo for some self love. Art 101 invites you back for a special “Sunset Love” step by step instructional paint class 2:30pm-5pm .25 E. Center St, Lexington, NC 27292. You will paint a beautiful sunset with heart hand silhouettes. This can be created on one single canvas for $35 or two adjoining canvases for $70. 

 

Monday, February 14th

Dinner

Enjoy a decadent and beautiful dinner at one of Lexington’s fine establishments. 

  • Sophie’s Cork & Ale located at 23 W. 2nd Ave. in Lexington is not only a local favorite, but an award winning restaurant. If you really want to impress your date, this is the spot! Enjoy a carefully crafted, gourmet five-course menu by owner and chef John Wilson, specifically designed for Valentine’s Day from 6pm-9pm. This dinner is by reservation only. (336)300-7338.

  • If making reservations isn’t your style, you're in luck. Texas Steak & Tap says they will not be accepting reservations.  You are invited to walk-in and dine any time from 4pm-9pm.

Speed Dating

Listen up all you hopeful singles. Do not sit at home, alone, eating your favorite ice cream from the carton, Put away the TV remote. Cupid called and said get to Bull City Ciderworks 6pm-8pm for their FREE “Be my Valentine” speed dating event. You may find "the one" for the night, the rest of your life, or make some new friends. Stop by Bull City ASAP to fill out some information. 

Love in Lights

Love in Lights is a community luminary event supporting Davidson Prison Ministry from 6pm to 7pm at the Davidson Correction Center, 1400 Thomasville St. Lexington, NC 27292.
