A fun evening of Burgers, Brews and News

The second day of fall provided a welcoming and fun environment for Davidson Local’s Burgers, Brews and News at Bull City Ciderworks. Held on Thursday, September 23, the event was part of the Triad Food and Beverage Coalition’s Eat. Drink. Burger Week!
The week is part of a regional effort on SEPTEMBER 19-25 to celebrate culinary creativity, increase visibility and engagement with the food & beverage community. Participating restaurants across the Triad have prepared a unique and delicious "off the menu" burger available for one week only. Chefs who’ve created masterpieces, off the regular menu, have been vetted in advance to make sure no two burgers are alike. Patrons can eat, drink and vote online for their favorite burger at Eat. Drink. Burger Week! A champion will be presented with a trophy and bragging rights.
Attendees at Burgers, Brews and News enjoyed a Sloppy Crab Mac n’ Cheese Burger that was crafted by Lou Lou’s Seafood, pasta salad, chips and desserts by Grow N’ Go Girls. As those in attendance munched on what was described as a “delicious burger”, they were treated to the musical sounds of Mia Mason and Ken Davis.
Davidson Local’s signature event for the week of culinary delights was sponsored by Jon Welborn, Rosalind Baker, Chris Elliott, Sandie Tysinger Chappell, Jimmy Davis, Beverly H. Kerr, Jason Hayes, Compassion Inspiring Action, Mountcastle Insurance, Mike James and Parrott Benefit Group. Vendors included One Stop Shop, Pig City Books, Grow N Go Girls and the Johnny Leroy Dawkins, Jr. Scholarship Fund.
If you missed out on the Sloppy Mac N’ Cheese Burger, you still have an opportunity to try it by visiting Lou Lou’s. Additionally, other restaurants in Davidson County are offering special burgers through Saturday.
