Cambodian New Year Festival begins Saturday in Lexington

The Cambodian New Year Festival 2024 will be held on Saturday, April 20 and on Sunday, April 21 beginning at 12:00 p.m. and ending at 7:00 p.m. 

This year's festival will be located at the Cambodian Cultural Center at  235 Cambodian Cultural Center in Lexington.

The Cambodian New Year Festival will be packed with vendors selling traditional and authentic Cambodian wares. There will be a delicious array of food to choose from including Cambodian food, donuts, lemonade, a seafood boil, customizable coffee beverages and more. 

There will also be great souvenirs to take home like t-shirts, flags, genuine Cambodian attire, beautiful fabrics and unique jewelry. 

The festival boasts fun for everyone with games like musical chairs, tug-of-war and sack races. You can also enjoy a Cambodian food competition and try your luck at one of the raffles with awesome prizes.

The entertainment for the festival will include live music, karaoke and lots of dancing. The Robam (Traditional Classical Cambodian Ballet) will also perform traditional dances. 

Families from all over the United States attend the Cambodian New Year Festival each year to celebrate and honor their ancestors. The festival planners are extremely excited about another year of fun and sharing their culture with everyone.
