Caught Doing Good: Danielle Clodfelter is serving Lexington with heart and faith
Editor’s Note: Caught Doing Good is a feel-good series inspired by a simple idea borrowed from the classroom: catch people in the act—not of messing up, but of lifting others up. Whether it's something big and bold or quiet and kind, we're shining a spotlight on the people in our community who are making a difference. These are the neighbors, friends, teachers, leaders, and everyday heroes who remind us that good things are happening all around us—and they're worth celebrating.

Danielle Clodfelter is living out her mission to serve with boldness, grace and grit. She makes serving the community look easy, although it often comes with late nights and weekend obligations.

A graduate of West Davidson High School, Danielle is a true servant-leader whose life is a tapestry of outreach, faith, and fierce community love. She is the President of The Inside Scoop Ministries, a nonprofit dedicated to helping the unhoused in Lexington. But what makes the ministry even more special is how it started.
“The name 'Inside Scoop' came to me during a moment of prayer at church,” Danielle says. “I was asking God for a name that would reflect the heart of the outreach—and He gave it to me.”
That divine inspiration now fuels a movement—one that’s feeding, clothing, and encouraging people every week.
Danielle is also the new Director of Outreach at Transformation Church of Lexington, where she’s a part of the praise and worship team and active member the women’s ministry, which meets every Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:30 pm in the fellowship hall. You can visit the church at 455 Freewill Circle, Lexington, NC. Their latest project is a clothing and furnishing closet.
Danielle is a mother of three children and two bonus kids, and she coaches both soccer and basketball at the Lexington Recreation Center and YMCA. She serves as a coordinator at Open Hands of North Carolina, where she helps provide meals at St. Stephen United Methodist Church on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m., and at First Reformed Church of Christ for Monday night dinners from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Professionally, she is the warehouse manager and production supervisor at Emergi Meals, a company that creates shelf-stable meal kits for Meals on Wheels programs across the country. Danielle also serves on the Community Action Board and is an advocate with Anything for Our Youth and SWIRL, two local initiatives focused on empowering Lexington’s youth.
She’s not doing it alone, either. Her husband, Tim Clodfelter, often works right alongside her—whether it’s helping with events, showing up to serve meals, or simply offering a steady hand and servant heart beside hers. Their shared passion for outreach is a testament to the strength of their partnership and the power of unity in purpose.
One of her favorite titles, though? Servant.
"Hey God, life doesn't really look like what we talked about right now but I'm trusting you anyways... Even though I can't always see you working, I will keep working on what we talked about. Thank you Jesus for the blood applied."
Danielle’s story is a reminder that good isn’t just something you do—it’s something you live. From kitchens to classrooms, boardrooms to the pews, she’s showing what it means to serve with intention.
