Christmas in July? Thomasville announces parade dates

2022 Christmas Parade

Hello!

We are so excited to announce we will be hosting the parade on Saturday, December 10th at 11:00AM! Last year was a huge success with 1,000+ spectators, and about 115 entries. We would love your participation with either a vehicle or float. If you are feeling the Christmas cheer please see attached for the flyer, parade entry form, and updated rules. 

One thing to note is that you must submit your form and payment in person at the Depot (44 W. Main Street) because last year we had so many issues and missing entries by mail.

I do sincerely apologize for this inconvenience, but there was too much last minute scrambling trying to add entries, and large numbers of folks were missed. The early bird special ends November 18th and the last day to submit your form and be entered in the parade is November 30th. The Depot is open 9:00-5:00 Monday – Friday. If you need special accommodations please contact me, I am happy to help!

We have 9 professional floats available for rent this year and they are $625 each. These are really nice because your group can arrive, hop on a beautifully fully decorated float, ride through the parade and hop right off! The cost increased significantly from last year for Tourism so we are offering you the price the company is giving us to try to help keep prices down for you. If you would like to see one of the 9 float options, I would be happy to share those with you.

We are looking for sponsors for the Parade as well. If your company is interested in extra exposure on our TV, radio, website, social media, and billboard ads for the parade, please consider a sponsorship. Last year we had ads on multiple radio stations, were covered multiple times on various news outlets (tv, online and newspaper), and this year we will have a billboard by Sunrise Diner advertising. This is a great chance to get a LOT of exposure for your company, and support the Tourism office.

The committee works hard all year, and we are always trying to make the parade bigger and better for our wonderful town. We hope you will join us in the parade as a participant, and we ask you to really go for it this year! Make your entries and floats as festive as possible, and make this event wonderful for the kids (and us big kids) who believe in the magic of Christmas.
