Sheriff's office arrests multiple sex offenders, no bail

On December 20th 2023, Detectives with the Davidson County Sheriff's Office Traffic & Criminal Enforcement Unit, assigned to the Special Investigations Division stopped a 2003 Ford Escape in the area of NC Hwy 109, Thomasville for a traffic violation. During the course of the stop, Detectives arrested the driver Christopher Lee Andrews of Trinity. Andrews was found to be a wanted fugitive from Randolph County in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) for failure to register as a sex offender. Andrews was also cited for displaying a revoked registration plate and no liability insurance. Andrews is scheduled to appear in Randolph County Court on January 17th of 2024.

In October of 2023, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of past sexual abuse on a juvenile by a family member. Detectives with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division began an investigation and conducted numerous interviews. As a result of the investigation, Dennis Wayne Marsh was arrested on December 19, 2023, for one count of Second-Degree Sex Offense and two counts of Sexual Battery. Dennis Wayne Marsh appeared before the Magistrate where he was issued a court date of January 22, 2024, in Lexington District Court and was placed in the custody of the Davidson County Detention Center with no bond.
