Davidson GOP to hold year round office, elects officers

Christopher Jessup was reelected chairman of the Davidson County Republican Party at the
annual county convention on Saturday, March 11, 2023. Jessup defeated his opponent by the
wide margin of 184 to 109.

Senator Stan Bingham, Representatives Larry Potts and Sam Watford, and Commissioner Fred McClure were inducted into the Davidson County Republican Party Hall of Fame, as well. In his second term as chairman, Jessup wants to continue building stronger precinct organization and working to elect Republicans at all levels.

The party will also continue to keep a headquarters open year-round as a gathering place for Republicans and resource center for candidates. The headquarters is located at 115 Young Drive in Lexington and
is open on Thursdays from 2pm-6pm. Please visit the party’s website at davidson.nc.gop for
