Dive into “Oceans of Possibilities” at the DCPL

Come by the Davidson County Public Library in Lexington this summer to enjoy fun, interactive programs, all about aquatic animals! This year’s theme for Summer Reading is Oceans of Possibilities. Therefore, the library is offering programs that relate to water and the ocean.

On June 9th, from 11AM-11:45AM, come see amphibian ambassadors in our library annex building from the North Carolina Zoo. The zoo will present an interactive program where participants can engage with aquatic animals and learn more about wetlands, fresh water sources, and their connection to the ocean.

On June 21st, from 11:30Am-12:10PM and on June 30th from 3PM-3:40PM, the Greensboro Science Center will present a live virtual program from our library annex building. This program will inform participants about penguins and sharks that live at the science center. Ask staff members questions through our technology set-up and learn all about these magnificent animals.

Registration is recommended. Please contact Allyson.Frick@davidsoncountync.gov or (336) 242-2295. We hope to see you there for a “fin”-tastic time!
