Faith and Fellowship: First Fruit Faithfulness

As we enter into the New Year 2022, We the children of God must learn to become faithful with our first fruits we must give back unto God as he has given unto us.

The word of God teaches us that first fruits is a scriptural commandment we must obey. Proverbs 3:9 says “Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase.” Settle this in thine own heart, every instruction from above is for your benefit. Let us be faithful with our first fruits.

In Genesis 4:3-5, the Bible reveals that “And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the first fruits of the ground an offering unto the Lord; And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering. But unto Cain and to his offering he had no respect”. Cain and Abel brought first fruit offerings.

Whenever we, the believers, give our first fruits to God let us give him our very best. The New Year is about new beginnings, Let us be faithful to give to God what is due to God first!!

First fruits provokes financial overflowing blessings. Proverbs 3:9-10 “ Honor the Lord with substance, and with the first fruits of thine increase.” 1 Samuel 2:30 reveals that, God honors those that honor him.

In the New Testament, the term first fruits takes on a symbolic meaning. In 1 Corinthians 15:20, Paul mentions Christ as the “first fruit of those who have fallen asleep.” Jesus was God’s first fruits, his one and only son, and the best that humanity had to offer.

When you take your first fruits to the Lord and give to his servant; you have obeyed God. Hs blessings will follow you throughout the New Year of 2022 and beyond this year you shall be called blessed!!!
