Faith and Fellowship: He Got Up

Death could not hold him, My Savior he got up!

A empty grave is there to prove, Our Savior he got up! After the Sabbath was over, early on the Sunday morning, the women returned to the tomb. There were unusual events that had taken place upon their arrival. There was another earthquake and an angel appeared and rolled the stone away. The soldiers who were guarding the tomb were so frightened that they “became like dead men”.

”The angel spoke to the women, telling them that Jesus has risen! The women ran to tell the disciples the good news, but before they got there, the women met Jesus and fell at his feet worshipping him. Jesus told the women to tell the disciples to meet him in Galilee,” as stated in Matthew 28: 1-10.

Easter Sunday is when Jesus was raised to new life. This is the most important date on the Christian calendar. It’s time to celebrate Our Savior lives!! Jesus death and resurrection proves that Jesus is the Christ, The Messiah, The Son of God.

Because the Savior got up, through resurrection, the believers live their lives were as their belief in the Power of the Savior triumphed over death, good over evil, hope over despair, the resurrection is a sign of God great power!

There once lived a great man that would declare through song, “Go ahead, drive the nails in my hands. Laugh at me. where you stand. Go ahead, say it isn’t me. The day will come, when you will see. Cause I’ll rise, again, Ain’t no Power on earth can tie Me down, Yes, I’ll rise again. Death can’t keep me in the ground.”

Jesus Rose and he lives, and because he lives we can face tomorrow, HE GOT UP! HE GOT UP!
HE GOT UP!

Thank you Jesus for getting up for the sins of the world, we can never repay you. We thank you Jesus, For we know they hung you high. They stretched you wide. You hung your head for us you died. That’s love, that’s love.

We will forever praise you for getting up!
