Faith and Fellowship: Life is Like a Box of Chocolates
Growing up I will always remember, my grandmother receiving those big boxes of assorted chocolates on special occasions.
I always enjoyed the peanut clusters. There were various assortments of chocolates in the boxes.
Have you ever noticed the only way that you could tell what was inside of a piece of the chocolate. Was by tasting it. I can remember when I would go through the chocolates to find my favorite. I would find myself pushing my finger on certain chocolates to see what was inside of them. Before I would try to eat them.
Isn’t that just like life, we find ourselves trying different things in life, while walking with God.
According to Forest Gump,” Life is like a box of chocolates”, Life indeed is like A box of chocolates.
We never know what we are going to get.
There maybe times when we may have a difficult time accepting what life may bring to us.
We did not get to choose when we were born, we did not get to choose our parents. As believers we do not get to choose our spiritual gifts, that comes from above. We as believers do not get to choose the grace that our Savior bestows upon us daily.
Just like a box of chocolates, we really do not know what we are going to get in life.
The Word of God reminds us,”that the rain falls on the just and the unjust”. Matthew 5:45
In life as we walk with the Savior we must trust that he knows what’s best for us. For we know following
Christ does not exempt us from bad things happening to the believers, For we understand that bad things happen to good people. As well as good things happen to bad people.
What matters as believers is our attitude and how we handle what life brings to us.
It is in Christ that we find out who we really are and what is the purpose of our lives.
Long before we first met Christ, He already had his eyes on us, had designs on us for glorious living.
Ephesians 1:11-12
Life is like a box of chocolates. I’m sure there has been twist and turns throughout life. But there is good news, with God we will always receive his unconditional, unfailing LOVE.
We will always receive his peace, joy that surpasses all understanding.
Our lives are extraordinary. God has great plans for our lives.
For we know that life may change in a blink of eye.
But our Savior will never leave us nor forsake us.
Just as a box Chocolates are unique, so are we as believers.
Romans 8:35-37 , “teaches us can anything separate us from the love of Christ”.
No matter what you choose out of a box of chocolates, Our Savior will always be with you.
As we meditate on the word of God this week, always remember with life being like a box of chocolates, you should always try to do your very best with what God has trusted you with.
May God So Richly Bless!
