Faith and Fellowship: Our Praise is Our Weapon

Faith and Fellowship: Our Praise is Our Weapon

Have you ever asked the question concerning when is it the best time to praise the Lord? Some people may say it’s when everything is going well, and you may feel as if you are on the mountaintop, with an abundance of blessings flowing from Heaven. Our praises to the Lord should come naturally. We know he is with us because we can feel his presence with us.

We feel the Lord in our hearts as we sing praises to him. There is a familiar scripture reminding us “I will bless the Lord at all times and his praises shall continually be in my mouth” - Psalm 34:1

There is power in our praise. When we praise our faith is deepened. Our praise is our spiritual weapon. Therefore, we can declare as the songwriter sings, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper, it won’t work.” We can never really say the weapon will not be formed but with praises unto our God we know whatever the enemy tries to throw our way, our loving Savior will block it! No matter how hard the situation may seem, believers must always know our praise outweighs the bad. Praise the Lord always and again I say praise!

As we journey into Acts 16:25 “About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them,” Paul and Silas could have chosen to give up in despair in their situation. Instead, they chose to sing praises and trusted in God.

Our God will move with much power in those who believe. Paul and Silas realized their praises were their only weapon in their dire situation. Our praises bring glory to God. We must keep our focus on him. We must keep our minds stayed on God and unite our spirit with his spirit. God inhabits our praises. The enemy must flee and take flight when we praise!

As believers we should always remember, our praise is our weapon that is different from other kinds of weapons. Praise as a weapon may seem unnatural but it is supernatural.“ The weapons we fight with are not weapons of the world, on the contrary they have divine power to demolish strongholds”. 2nd Corinthians 10:14 (NIV)

Praise in spite of your feelings sometimes may be your sacrifice of praise. Jeremiah 33:11 -
Praise invites God into our situations, and our praises acknowledge that God is great and worthy to be praised. Engaging in the power of praise is a weapon of warfare.

As we spend time with the Savior this week let us meditate on his word of understanding, If we do not want to continue struggling, we must put our battles in the hand of God, as we continue to praise. Whenever God takes on our battles, he always win and his name will always be glorified. And as believers we will always have sweat less victories!

Our Praise is our weapon, whenever you are trying to get to a promise, you may have to praise a little harder, Praise! Praise! Praise! Sound the Alarm and keep on praising!

May God so richly bless!
