Faith and Fellowship: Prayer Still Works

Faith and Fellowship: Prayer Still Works

As we pray to God, we are giving God our thoughts, our feelings, and our emotions; and most importantly when we pray and communicate with God we are giving him our true heart. When you pray to God it doesn’t have to be formal it doesn’t have to be long, it’s merely a simple request to God.

Always remember no matter what the situation you may be facing, always know prayer still works. We, as believers. should know without a doubt God’s ears are always inclined to us. God never slumbers nor sleeps. We can go to God anytime whether it’s morning, noon or night. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 teaches us, Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Prayer is a mighty powerful weapon we, as believers, have. The Bible teaches us to pray according to Matthew 6:9 Our father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever and ever, Amen.

The songwriter penned it best she stated: I prayed about it and God still answer prayers. The song goes on to say I prayed about it and he stepped in on time, I prayed about it and he gave me a peace of mind. God still answers prayers.

Let us remember it is not magic you are simply taking Gods thoughts and praying them back to him. God hears our sincere prayers. Sometimes when we find things going wrong in our lives, God teaches us in Psalm 86:2 “Guard my life, for I am faithful to you; save your servant, who trust in you, you are my God .”

Daily prayers are essential to our faith walk. There may be times when God may seem silent but know, with assurance, God is always working behind the scenes on our behalf. For we know prayer still works.

As we meditate on God’s word this week and spend time in communion with him; let us thank God for his loving power. And we must thank God for always answering our prayers.

Dear God, thank you for being the best listener. Thank you that when we pray to you we do not have to shout for we believe you can hear our silent prayers when we come to you with our sincere hearts. Thank you heavenly father that prayer still works!

May God so richly bless!!!
