Faith and Fellowship: What is a Miracle?
Someone may ask the question, What is A Miracle?
The biblical definition of a miracle, would be something like “an event that involves and direct and powerful action of God, transcending occurrences that can only be attributed to the supernatural work of God, that demonstrates his involvement in human history”.
Miracles are still transpiring in todays world. The hand of God continues to show us his goodness.
The word of God contains over 120 miracles recorded in the Bible. From the Old Testament to the New Testament, we see miracles. We find in the Bible that miracles began from the creation in Genesis 1:1-2 our God is a miracle working God.
The song writer penned it singing, I see miracles happening for you. If you believe in something long and hard, If you believe in something with all your heart. It shall come to pass, I see miracles happening for you. Keep thinking it, keep speaking it,keep Faithing it, It shall come to pass, I see miracles happening for you!
Miracles provide endurance of Gods presence and power in the world to demonstrate his authority.
We have read in the word of God the miracles of healing, 2nd Kings 5:4, Matthew 9: 27-31, and there are many other scriptures in the word, showing us the power of God and miracles. The majority of miracles in the word of God are Faith, resurrection, restoration, sight to the blind, casting out demons, walking on water, feeding thousands of people with a small supply of food.
I see miracles, and the list goes on and on. There are no endings from the miracles of God.
God is still in the miracles working business. It was a miracle that God allowed us to wake up this morning. It was a miracle of God that he allows us to breathe his air today. It is a miracle from God that he has kept our minds stayed on him, when the enemy comes to distract us. It is a miracle that we are who we are by his grace.
Can you see it? Can you see the miracles? We should take the time to count our blessings, and we should name them one by one.
Thank You God for your divine work that displays your greatness and cause people to recognize that God still perform miracles.
We may not see the miracles like the disciples did, John 14:12, Jesus days, Truly, Truly I say to you, whoever believes in me, will also do the works I do;
and greater works, than these will he do.
As we meditate on the word of God this week, we would like to say Thank you God for the miracles that you performed during your ministry as you walked on earth, Thank you Heavenly Father that we are still seeing your miracles today.
Just know People of God, we are next in line for our miracles!
May God So Richly Bless!
