Fentanyl distributors arrested in Davidson County
The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and the Vice/Narcotics Unit began an investigation related to narcotics distribution.
Through the investigation, Detectives were able to identify Marcus Dwayne Parker and Cory William Bailor as individuals who were distributing Fentanyl within Davidson County.
On Wednesday, July 10, 2024 Detectives obtained arrest warrants for Parker and Bailor and search warrants for multiple locations.
With the assistance of the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT) and the Greensboro Police Department, Detectives were able to locate Parker and conduct a traffic stop, he attempted to flee Detectives, using his vehicle to strike Law Enforcement vehicles, but was quickly apprehended after a short vehicle pursuit. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
Bailor was located and apprehended without incident. Detectives executed multiple search warrants in Lexington and Greensboro. As a result of the search warrants, Detectives seized over 60 grams of Fentanyl; and a bulk of United States currency.
Parker was charged with Trafficking Opium or Heroin by Transport, Trafficking Opium or Heroin by Possession, PWISD Schedule II (2 counts), Assault with a Deadly Weapon on a Government Official (2 counts), Resisting a Public Officer, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Parker was ordered to be held in the Davidson County Detention Center under a secured bond.
Bailor was charged with PWISD Schedule II. Bailor was ordered to be held in the Davidson County Detention Center under a secured bond.
