Coach Josh Pittman says “Goodbye” to Lexington basketball

Josh Pittman has resigned from the head coaching post with The Lexington Yellow Jackets in order to accept a position “closer to home” in Winston-Salem.

According to a comment from Lexington Senior High School Athletic Director Ronnie Beverly, coach Pittman has accepted a position with a preparatory school. “Everybody wants to go home if given the opportunity.” Beverly called Pittman a long-time friend said, "Facebook rumors are all over the place… He did an outstanding job for us.”

Beverly said assistant coach TJ Holt will step in and run summer work outs and conditioning with the team. The top position will be posted for applications. “We’ve told the boys and they understand.” Beverly said. “We wish him nothing but the best."
