Friday Night Lights Roundup: Playoff Edition (Second Round)
Three Davidson County teams were in action Friday night in the second round of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association's football playoffs.
The Thomasville Bulldogs defended their home turf beating the South Stokes Sauras with a score of 34-0. Advancing to the third round of the playoffs, they will travel to Bakersville next Friday to face the Mitchell Mountaineers.
North Davidson kept their championship hopes alive by narrowly defeating the Hickory Red Tornadoes 31-28. Their third round match up is against Crest High School in Shelby. The Black Knights will face the Charges next Friday at Crest.
In the ‘Battle of the Cats,’ the Ledford Panthers were defeated by the Dudley Panthers 53-10.
