Local GOP plans supply drive for September 2 meeting

Recently, Tropical Storm Fred cut a swath of devastation across the western areas of North Carolina. Little warning coupled with high winds and torrential rain, made this devastation widespread and fierce. When the storm had subsided, many were left without the basics for survival. Lt. Governor Mark Robinson recognized the need for relief for the western side of our state, and the Davidson GOP would like to lend a hand. We are holding a "Pack-the-Trailer" Night at our next monthly meeting on September 2. We think this is a great opportunity to help provide some assistance and relief to those who were impacted by Fred. We are asking for donations of bottled water, non-perishable food items, school supplies and toiletries in addition to the items on the list below.
Any size muck boots
Shovels
Work boot socks
Pressure washers
Hammers
Stand up tents or canopies
Screwdrivers (manual and powered)
Water hoses
Extension cords
Men’s work gloves
Nails and screws
Black contractor trash bags
Paper towels
Floor Squeegees
Two chainsaws
Heavy duty mops and brooms
Plastic totes with lids
Bug Spray
Wheelbarrows
Tarps
These items will help the Davidson GOP assist Robinson in taking care of those who were impacted by Tropical Storm Fred. Anything you are willing to donate is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to seeing you at our next monthly meeting on September 2 at Yarborough's Restaurant in Lexington. The trailer will be parked there beginning at 6:00pm and throughout the entirety of our meeting.
Thank you for your support!
