Grand Re-Opening of River House Emporium

Grand Re-Opening of River House Emporium

The River House Emporium, established in 2016 at 23 South Main Street in Lexington NC, will celebrate a grand re-opening under new ownership on June 25th, 2022. The Uptown community will welcome Keith Miller, the new owner / operator, at a ribbon cutting at 10 am on that day.

The Emporium will continue operating as a multi-vendor market of curated antiques, home furnishings, and hand-crafted lifestyle goods. “I’m thrilled that most of the merchants in place when I purchased the business will continue to work with us, and truly admire the selection and quality of their goods,” said Keith Miller. Keith is looking for several new merchants to join the team, and is specifically seeking artisans who work in metal, blown glass, hand carved wood or restored, painted furniture. “We have a strong commitment to the environment and are always looking for artisans who recycle, re-use and re-purpose,” Keith said.

Keith, and his wife Nancy, moved to Lexington five years ago to be close to their daughter Krista, who has since married a Lexington native, Clayton Jarvis. Krista owns and operates Cooper Road Collection, a plus size women’s clothing boutique in Uptown. “It’s great to be working just a few storefronts away from Krista now,” Keith said. “I can be there in a heartbeat if she needs help with something.”

Weather permitting, the Grand Re-opening will include a Saturday Sidewalk Sale from 11 am to 3 pm, a new event at the shop to be held on the last Saturday of each month, bringing discounted products together on tables outside the store. The Emporium will add to the celebration with a 10% discount on designer handbags and wallets located at the front of the store, brought to you from Keith’s online business, Designer Fashion Direct. “We can’t wait to meet our Lexington neighbors,” Keith noted. “When you find yourself in Uptown, come on in and say hello, check out the talents of our wonderful merchants, and enjoy the air conditioning!”
