Faith and Fellowship: Everyday is a Day of Thanksgiving
Give Thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever, 1 Chronicles 16:34. Now that we have celebrated the Thanksgiving Day Holiday, one may ask shouldn’t everyday be a day of Thanksgiving? We know that when the Lord Blesses us he doesn’t only bless us once, but because his everlasting love for us, the Lord continually blesses us over and over, And for this we must tell the Lord Thank You!
Lord, we Thank You for your love that endures forever. Because Jesus we know how much you love us, and we will always be Thankful to you. Jesus showed us how much he loves us by dying on the cross, and after death Jesus rose from the dead, to be seated at the right hand of God the Father. What a wonderful reason to be Thankful!
The word of God teaches us the importance of giving Thanks to God for all his gifts and works that he has given us. Everyday is a day of Thanksgiving. The act of offering thanks or being thankful unto God. Enter into his courts with Thanksgiving we should praise the Lord and give him Thanks for his goodness and for his love and because of his faithfulness towards us.
As believers, with a Thanksgiving heart we should count our blessings and name them one by one. We should count our blessings and see what the Lord has done for us. We have a duty of Thanksgiving to God, Praise God and give Thanks to him, not only on Thanksgiving Day but always. Everything that has been created by God is good. Remember after celebrating the Thanksgiving Holiday, take time for your loved ones and say “Thank you,”
Psalm 95:2-3, “ Let’s come before him with Thanks! Let’s shout songs of joy to him! The Lord is great God, the great Kings over all gods”. Always show your Thankfulness to the Lord in every part of your life, in every way that you can. Ephesians 5:20, “Always give Thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Give Thanks!
As we echo the words from the songwriter let us remember, Everyday is a Day of Thanksgiving, God been so good to me, Everyday he’s blessing me, He keeps on blessing me, take the time to Glorify the Lord today!
As we meditate on the word of God this week let us remember, when you send your Thanks to the Heavens, God knows that you are following his path.
2022 Journey to Bethlehem
As a Christmas gift to all, Tyro UMC will present Journey to Bethlehem on Saturday, December 3th and Sunday, December 4th from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. You and your loved ones are invited to celebrate the birth of Jesus as you travel with Mary and Joseph on their journey to Bethlehem. Once you pass the manger you will drive through over 30 scenes featuring live animals and over 150 actors depicting favorite Bible stories and the life of Jesus. Along the way you will be able to listen to music and a message through your car radio. Many have made this special event a holiday tradition and we welcome you to begin this holy season with us.
