Don't hesitate to ask for help! 

Create your own champions to help you get a job. Going and applying for a job is so dehumanizing as candidates endure enormous amounts of rejections, run-arounds and delays as they strive to get a job during times of historic inflation. 

Recently, I was asked to help a volunteer at Davidson Local get a job. This talent is an extremely hard worker but had lost confidence because of all of the rejection she endured. I picked up the phone and called a friend at an area staffing agency and they instantly set up an interview for her. They placed her the next day. She is already working at the new job. Don't hesitate to ask for help.
