Kidz Dreamz Klub Inc receives a $300,000 grant from Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust
LEXINGTON, NC – Kidz Dreamz Klub is pleased to announce that it has received a grant to increase children’s access to quality care and educational opportunities from Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
The Reducing Adverse Childhood Experiences (RACHEX) project will improve the lives of residents in Forsyth, Davie, and Davidson Counties by raising awareness, providing referrals, resources, and advocacy tools to disproportionately underserved communities in the targeted counties. Further, the RACHEX project will provide education to community leaders about the need for increased resources towards quality care for underserved communities – which directly impacts the socio-economic well-being of families in the targeted region.

The parents in our communities cannot go to work without quality and safe childcare, “says Patrick Horton, Executive Director of Kidz Dreamz Klub.
Kidz Dreamz Klub has been providing child development activities and programs to increase educational opportunities for children from underserved communities. Kidz Dreamz Klub recognizes the long waiting lists for childcare vouchers for parents to access quality care for their children. RACHEX Project will raise awareness on the correlation of increased access to childcare resources and labor participation – which is partly the solution for people to go back to work.
Kidz Dreamz Klub was founded in 2014 to provide development programs and activities in a safe, fun, and friendly environment for children from low-income communities. It has served
over 600 children from Davidson, Forsyth, Davie, and surrounding counties in North Carolina. Patrick Horton is the Executive Director and Yesika Zelaya, the Board of Directors Chairperson.

Kidz Dreamz Klub is a 501(c)3 public charity working to improve the educational and health outcomes for children from low-income communities in Davidson, Forsyth, and Davie Counties. Development After-School programs, Summer Day Camps, Volunteer Leadership program, and RACHEX are some of the child development programs aimed at increasing the educational, quality daycare, and health outcomes for the children.
