Lexington City Centre opens today

The City of Lexington was closed last week on March 14 and March 15 to facilitate a short move from City Hall to the new City Centre which is located at 200 North State Street in Uptown Lexington.

The City Centre is set to officially open to the public at 9:00 a.m. today signaling the end of an extensive renovation which took the building from a state of vacancy to a gleaming and modern structure.

The building will house new offices for numerous Lexington government officials in addition to meeting space for Lexington City Council and Customer Care for Lexington Utilities.

The City Centre offers Lexington Utility customers new and innovative ways to pay for their utility services. Several kiosks are available in the lobby for customers to conveniently pay their bills. Customer Care Representatives will be happy to assist customers understand the new kiosks and to make payments.

In order to use a kiosk you will first need your account number. You will also need a credit or debit card, personal check or cash. If using cash, the exception is coins and the kiosk does not give cash back, so any over payments will be credited to your account.

If you require assistance to connect or disconnect services or have questions about your account, this is where you should go.
