Lexington City Schools Athletics Hall of Fame seeks nominations for the 2024 inductions
The Lexington City Schools Athletics Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for its 2024 Induction Class.
The Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the athletics programs at Lexington Senior High School (LSHS) and Dunbar High School. This prestigious accolade aims to recognize and celebrate the achievements of those who have enriched the schools' athletic heritage and brought distinction to the Lexington community.
To be eligible for nomination, candidates must have made significant contributions to the athletics program as a student-athlete, coach, administrator or other associated individuals, such as donors or friends of LSHS/Dunbar Athletics.
Noteworthy accomplishments, exemplary sportsmanship, character, and citizenship are key considerations. Contributions that have significantly enriched LSHS/Dunbar Athletics and other distinguished achievements will also be taken into account.
Eligibility Requirements:
A minimum of five years must have passed since the nominee’s participation as a student-athlete, coach, or administrator within the LSHS/Dunbar Schools Athletics program.
Posthumous nominees are exempt from the five-year rule.
Nominations should include detailed information about the nominee's athletic honors, records established, sportsmanship, character, citizenship, and other contributions to LSHS/Dunbar Athletics. Additional supporting documentation, such as newspaper clippings, letters, and photographs, is encouraged to strengthen the nomination.
Nomination forms must be received by June 15, 2024, to be considered for the fall 2024.

The Lexington City Schools Athletics Hall of Fame serves to recognize and honor individuals whose outstanding contributions have enhanced the athletics program of Lexington Senior High School and Dunbar High School.
