Lexington Farmers Market begins Saturday, May 6
Lexington — The Lexington Farmers Market (LFM) opens for the season Saturday, May 6 and will continue until Saturday, October 14. Operation times are from 8am until 12pm. The market is located at 129 S. Railroad St. Lexington, NC 27292 at The Depot (across from Southern Lunch). Parking is adjacent.
#Strawberry Day will be in full swing as the red fruit is in season. At 10am, there will be a demonstration where patrons will be able to learn how to make a strawberry milkshake. Samples will be available. Throughout the day, parents are invited to take their children to visit Kepley’s Spoons as Tad Kepley will safely guide kids through the art of carving wood. Musicians Ken Davis and Kenneth Keesee aka “Ken & Kenneth” will provide the morning soundtrack.

Fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, pastries, jams, breads, flowers, crafts, and other items will be available for purchase. All products are grown, baked, or made by vendors.
Vendor maps will be available. Be sure to grab one as some vendor locations have changed. Additional vendors will be at the market throughout the season.
Recipients of SNAP benefits (also known as food stamps) can double their spending power at the market. For every SNAP dollar, customers will receive $2 in tokens to spend with vendors. Recipients can double up to $20 of SNAP benefits per day. To swipe a SNAP EBT card in exchange for tokens, see the market manager on duty.

The Lexington Farmers Market is a 100% PRODUCERS' only market, which means the people who sell the product are the ones who grew, raised or produced the product you are purchasing. The market is limited to certified growers who live within Davidson County or the surrounding counties of Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Montgomery, Randolph, or Rowan counties. All new vendors are subject to inspection and certification by their county Cooperative Extension.
