Press Release: Lexington man charged with exploitation of a minor

From the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office:
On Friday, October 20, 2023, Detectives with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, Internet crimes against children task force, arrested and charged Giancarlo Blandino, of Lexington, North Carolina, with 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
The investigation was initiated after the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office received information that Blandino was in the possession of child sexual abuse material. The investigation found that Blandino was in possession of the child sexual abuse material and was formally charged on October 20, 2023 with the above charges. Blandino was arrested and taken before a Davidson County Magistrate where he was charged with 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. As a result, Blandino was confined to the Davidson County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in Lexington Court on November 03, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. and is being held on a $100,000.00 secured bond.
