Lexington Police Investigate Incident
LEXINGTON, NC – At approximately 8 am this morning, William Bess, 48, of Lexington, was struck and killed by an Amtrak train. Lexington Fire Department, Davidson County EMS and Davidson County Rescue Squad assisted at the scene.
LPD detectives, in conjunction with Norfolk Southern Railroad Police, are investigating the incident. This incident remains an open and active investigation. No additional information is available for release at this time.
