LFD responds to apartment fire on London Ct.

LEXINGTON – Monday morning Lexington Fire Department responded to an apartment fire at 12 London Court. The fire was in Unit D on the second floor of  the apartment building. Approximately five people were displaced from two  apartment units, but thankfully there were no injuries to residents or fire personnel.

Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke and fire coming from the building. Lexington Fire crews quickly determined the best plan of action to protect lives  and property and prevent the fire from spreading further. They also began  searching for possible occupants.

The fire was quickly brought under control, and the search revealed no victims.  The on-call Lexington fire investigator was called to investigate the origin and  cause of the fire, which is still under investigation.
