Lexington Fire Department Responds to Fire on W. 13th St.
Lexington, NC – January 13, 2025 – Just before 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, the Lexington Fire Department responded to a fire at 729 W. 13th St. – a residential home that was occupied by two adults and two small children.
Battalion Chief JD Everhart was the incident commander on the scene. Prior to arrival, all occupants were reported to be out of the house. Fire crews arrived to find a single-story house with smoke and flames coming from the rear. Those crews immediately began fire extinguishment as well as searching the house to make sure that no one was inside.
It took fire crews approximately 30 minutes to get the fire under control. The Lexington Fire Marshal’s Office is actively investigating the cause of the fire and as of now, the cause hasn’t been confirmed. There were no injuries to occupants or fire personnel.
In addition to the Lexington Fire Department, Lexington Police Department, Davidson County EMS, West Lexington Fire Department, and the Lexington Fire Marshals Office were on scene to support and manage the situation.
