Life Center to host 'Gathering of Caregivers'

Life Center to host 'Gathering of Caregivers'

We invite all local caregivers to join us for a “Gathering of Caregivers” lunch and learn on Friday, November 4th at 12:00 p.m. We know that caring for a loved one can be an isolating endeavor. It is a journey filled with ever-changing challenges, uncertainty, frustration, grief, and ultimately, love. Please join us as we look at ways caregivers can maintain or regain their sense of self-balance and hope.

Lunch will be provided while we learn from a panelist discussion including former Chief Nursing Officer, Clyde Bristow, DNP, RN, CENP; Jen-Fuller Allen, CEO of the J. Smith Young YMCA; and Heather Yates-Davis, PA Novant Health-Lexington Primary Care. This educational event will provide an opportunity to ask questions, gather with other caregivers, and receive information on community resources for caregivers. Leslie Craver, Family Caregiver Specialist, at The Life Center, “feels this event brings together a community of caregivers and lets them know we are here as a resource and their experience matters.”

Our focus at The Life Center is caring for your loved one and for you, the caregiver. Beth Rummage, Executive Director of The Life Center, often notes, “while medical advancements have increased the quantity of years in our lives, they haven’t necessarily improved the quality of our lives.” Within our community, quality matters. This educational event and luncheon are offered at no charge. We hope you’ll join us to lunch and learn!

Registration is required and space is limited.

The event will take place at 119 W. Third Event Center

Friday, November 4, 2022 at 12:00 p.m.
