Mount Pleasant Church: Lights Up The Night for special needs

Mount Pleasant Church: Lights Up The Night for special needs

Mount Pleasant Church’s annual Light Up The Night celebrates those with special needs.

Each guest is able to choose from a classic car, limo, truck, jeep & more to take a ride to our "Red Carpet". They are greeted and announced by name as they exit the car and then they are CELEBRATED by our volunteers as they take a walk up the Red Carpet into the prom .

Our balloon drop and confetti release occurs as we crown each of our guest's prom king & queen.

We were able to witness some amazing dancing out on the dance floor by our guests this year - we even had a few get into a dance-off! They were awesome!

We had 98 guests & 380 volunteers attend this year's Light up the Night! This is our 5th year of doing a special needs prom. Folks can get involved by volunteering next year - registration will be active on our website in October 2022 for next year’s prom. We also have an option on the webpage where folks can donate money directly towards Light up the Night!
