Local woman charged with child abduction
On Friday, June 21, 2024 Deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 165 Beaver Lodge Lane, Lexington, North Carolina, 27295 in reference to the abduction of a juvenile female.
Upon arrival, deputies began an investigation and contacted the Criminal Investigations Division to investigate further.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division located the juvenile female in Greensboro, North Carolina with the assistance of the Greensboro Police Department and the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office.
As a result of the investigation, Ashley Pyrtle was arrested and charged with one count of Felony Abduction of a Child. Ashley was taken before the Davidson County Magistrate where she received no bond and she was placed in the custody of the Davidson County Detention Center.
