LPD responds to house fire on W. 3rd Ave.

City of Lexington Fire Department Responds to House Fire on West 3rd Avenue. LEXINGTON, NC – Early Sunday morning Lexington Fire Department responded to a house fire at 313 W. 3rd. Ave. Crews arrived at 3:56 am to find fire coming from the house's front windows. One unity initiated extinguishing the fire while other units began a search of the house for additional residents. All occupants had exited the home and were accounted for before arrival. Crews got the fire under control, and the search revealed no victims. The Lexington Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire. The fire left one room with heavy damage and smoke damage throughout the rest of the house. The occupant contacted the Red Cross for assistance.
