Three arrested for alleged animal cruelty in Denton

Three people have been arrested and charged with felony animal abuse after four dogs

were seized from a property in Denton. In October, deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into a possible animal cruelty case in the 400 Block of Cabin Creek Drive after a report of several dogs in need of veterinary care.

As a result of the investigation, officers seized four dogs from the property on Jan. 30. On Feb. 18, Sabrina and Bruce Blackburn were arrested and charged with one count of felony animal cruelty, four counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty, and one misdemeanor local violation. Landon Keene was charged with one count of felony animal cruelty.
