Law enforcement hosts "Cops and Kids" Christmas shopping event

IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE

On Saturday, December 11, 2021, members of the Davidson County Fraternal Order Of Police(FOP) Lodge #97, took 25 underprivileged children Christmas Shopping during its annual “Cops & Kids Christmas Shopping Event.” The lodge spends approximately $135.00 on each child, purchasing them clothes, school supplies and toys as they shop with a law enforcement officer or lodge member.

This was a great event for our lodge to help families in Davidson County with Christmas. On behalf of the Davidson County FOP Lodge #97, I would like to thank the community for donations, Davidson County Sheriff Ritchie Simmons, Davidson County Sheriff Deputies, Thomasville Police Officers, and lodge members for their support.

I would also like to thank the manager, assistant manager and staff at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Thomasville and the manager and staff at Bo-Jangles in Thomasville who helped make this event possible.

Donations to help support “Cops & Kids Christmas Shopping Event” may be made by check payable to the Davidson County FOP Lodge #97 and mailed to PO BOX 205, Thomasville, NC 27361-0205. Donations may also be made on-line on our lodge website at www.NCFOP978.org.
