Obituary: Friend of Davidson Local - Betty Gregory

This was not the news AK and I were expecting this week. Finding out Betty McMillian Gregory passed “hurt our hearts.” Since we launched Davidson Local last April, Ms. Betty has been one of our biggest supporters. She’s attended our events, made monetary donations and never hesitated to send us pictures she’d taken around town. She’d tell us that we didn’t have to give her photo credits but we always did.

Her kindness, generosity, sweet spirit, encouragement, care and thoughtfulness will be missed by us as well as many in the community. To say we were shocked to find out she was 78 is putting it mildly. We never would’ve guessed she was almost 80.

It was truly an honor to know her and be in her presence at all times. We pray the many meaningful memories bring comfort to her family, friends and all who knew her.
