Pipe replacement planned for Davidson County road

LEXINGTON – N.C. Department of Transportation crews will be closing a section of a Davidson County road for a pipe replacement next week.

On Aug. 23 at 9:00 a.m., Tussey Road will be closed between Helmstetler Road and Old Salisbury Road while crews replace a crossline pipe. The road is set to reopen Friday, Aug. 27, at 3:30 p.m. or sooner, weather permitting.  

Traffic will be detoured to Helmstetler Road, Mt. Carmel Church Road and Old Salisbury.

Drivers should use caution and expect some delays due to the detour.
