Political Ad: Vivian Royal announces intent to run for Ward 1 Lexington City Council

Vivian Royal is a graduate of Lexington Senior High. She attended Davidson County Community College. She worked at Nippon Electric Glass Lexington Plant, Former PPG Industries of Lexington, NC as a Day P & QC Quality Specialist for 49 years before retiring on March 1 of this year.

Royal is a member of Files Chapel Baptist Church Lexington, NC where she serves as Church Clerk, the Church Anniversary Program Chairperson, Secretary/Treasurer of Senior Ushers, Primary Sunday School Teacher. Royal is a member of Golden Link Chapter #543 Order of The Eastern Star, JNO G. Lewis Assembly #326 and Al Khattab Court #180. This year she was appointed to serve on the Lexington City Planning Board. She is a member of the Davidson County Democrats Party where she served as the past treasurer, also a member of the Davidson County, Lexington Chapter of NAACP.

Royal is also an avid volunteer in her community. Royal has helped with voter registration with the Democratic Party and for various other campaigns. Royal currently volunteers weekly at Pastor's Pantry of Davidson County, and with Anything for Our Youth Group, Inc., a nonprofit started by her daughter Tina Royal.

Royal was born in Lexington, NC to the late Addie & Zellie Royal.

Royal has two daughters Toni Royal McCullough and Tina Royal. She also has two grandchildren Demetrius and Jordan. Royal plans to file in January 2022 to run for Lexington, NC City Council to represent Ward 1 where she lives. For additional information please visit her Facebook page.
