Here are some of the ways District 29 has been celebrating the Christmas.
Members of the Davidson County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 97 conducted its Christmas Toys for Stoner-Thomas School event on on Dec. 8. This event is one of the many way law enforcement gives a little more to the community during the holiday season.
Governor Roy Cooper has announced new government appointed positions this week. See the new appointments for our state leadership.
Davidson County Resident, Randy Turner, shared the story behind his extensive decorations that have brought joy to his neighbors for years. Turner prides himself on his collect of decor that he's found over the years.
North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper issued a state of emergency Wednesday in advance of expected freezing temperatures that will move in statewide on Friday and continue through the Christmas weekend.
The Loflin family of Denton invites the public again to celebrate Christmas with their annual Country Christmas Train. The public event features thousands of twinkling Christmas lights, a train ride, Santa, carolers, a live nativity, more than 10 decorated, historic buildings, horse-drawn carriage rides, and more at the Denton FarmPark. The part is located at 4259 Handy Road. Event dates are Dec. 16–23 and Dec.26–27.
