Press Release: Livestock case leads to nine felony charges for Davidson County Couple
On Tuesday, February 6, 2024 Ashlyn White, and her husband Nathan White were charged and arrested for One Felony Count Animal Cruelty and Nine Misdemeanor Counts of Animal Cruelty. Mr. and Mrs. White are scheduled to appear in District court on March 7, 2024 at 0900 in Lexington, NC.
On Tuesday, August 22, 2023 Deputies with Davidson County Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a welfare check on livestock animals in the Haden Grove Church Rd area. Upon investigation, Mr. and Mrs. White were the documented owners of the animals that were being houses at this location. On August 23, 2023, a Compliance Order was issued to Mr. and Mrs. White for the animals.
On January 16, 2024, Deputies received another call, requesting a welfare check on these same animals and new animals on the property, which resulted in two cows and two horses being surrendered due to Exigent Circumstances. This is an on-going Investigation anyone with information, contact Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, Animal Control Division.
