Tribute to Tad Wrenn Helmstetler and pledge to
New Hope Presbyterian Church
From “Nothing to Something” is a phrase that comes to mind when I think of Tad Helmstetler. As he loved to build, create and convert concepts into reality. I know this because Tad was always ready to pitch in whether we were building community chairs at events in Thomasville, teaching underserved youth how to build their own laptop desk, or even taking professional level pictures at class reunions or the Give Work a Chance Job Fair.
When Tad got motivated he was like a mini factory of efficiency and output. Tad loved helping inner city kids put together a laptop desk so that they could do their schoolwork during covid at home.
Linked is Tad’s official obituary.
Although sometimes his self image conveyed via his off hand comments that he sometimes thought of himself as a nothing, just read the powerful tributes on his Facebook page and you will see that many knew that Tad was truly something! I hope that more recognize, remember and emulate the powerful life of Tad Helmstetler!
Many say that the best way to honor someone's life is to emulate the best traits of that person so in honor I am pledging to donate an Anycubic 3d printer to New Hope Presbyterian Church so that members can do what Tad loved to do: Turn nothing into something.
Pastor Mason Todd can't wait to teach church members how to 3d print items to help support the church and raise funds for future events. Soon they will be able to make various crosses, necklaces, jewelry, and other items to support the growth of the church and build skills of the members. Going to call the 3d printer: Tad’s Dream!
I hope that more get to live Tad’s dream and turn their ideas into reality and support their community and church like Tad did!
