Saturday at The Depot: Fresh food and community at the Lexington Farmers Market
Looking for local produce, handmade goods, and a reason to get outside this Saturday? The Lexington Farmers Market at The Depot has you covered—with extended hours, new vendors, and some special community perks.
The market runs this weekend from 12 to 3 p.m. at 129 S. Railroad Street in the heart of the Depot District. Shoppers can expect a wide range of locally grown and handmade items: seasonal fruits and vegetables, pasture-raised meats, farm-fresh eggs, baked goods, jams, crafts, and more. All vendors are growers, bakers, or makers from the region.
They invite the public to “Join us this Saturday from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Depot! We're looking forward to another wonderful day, with new vendors and special guests—including Master Gardener Susan Scarboro, who will be hosting a Seed Swap and answering gardening questions. Fill your belly, your pantry, and your soul with amazing, nutritious local goods and community fellowship!”
Also on tap this Saturday: a chance to snag a free Lexington Farmers Market tote bag for filling out a brief customer survey. Shoppers can visit the market manager’s table to participate.
The market also continues its SNAP/EBT program, which includes a “Double Your Dollars” match—giving customers $2 in tokens for every $1 spent using their SNAP card, up to $20 a day. Those tokens can be used on a wide selection of food items and food-producing plants.
With live music, friendly faces, and a focus on local sustainability, the Lexington Farmers Market offers more than just groceries—it’s a celebration of community.
