Arts Theater 202 located at 202 North Main Street in Lexington has events planned for the month of September that will give you plenty to do while ushering in the early days of Autumn.

September 5, 2023 - Grassroots Grant Workshop 

From 11:30 AM until 6:00 PM a mandatory Grassroots Grant Arts Program Workshop will be held for all that are planning to apply for this year’s round of funding available to qualifying nonprofits for arts related programs through the North Carolina Arts Council’s State Arts Resource Project. All applicants must attend or send a designated person from their organization to one of the workshops to be considered for the grant. All organizations are encouraged to RSVP for this workshop. The application deadline for the grant is September 15, 2023 at 5:00 PM.


September 07, 2023 - Artist Meetup

Calling all local artists for an artist meetup. Are you an artist that is looking to make creative connections with other artists? If so, you should make plans to attend the monthly “Artist Meetup” hosted and sponsored by Arts Theater 202. Come mingle with individuals from the local art scene including actors, dancers, musicians, writers, and visual artists all gathering to share, network and to build a rapport. The mixer is planned to begin at 6:30 PM.

The Lexington Live Community Theater is bringing Chinquapin Parish to Uptown Lexington with their production of a classic, “Steel Magnolias”.

Come share hilarious and emotional moments with Truvy, M’Lynn, Ouiser, Clairee, Annell and Shelby. All friends that you have known for years!
