Show your support this Small Business Saturday

Now more than ever, small businesses need our support. This Small Business Saturday all business owners are encouraging everyone to shop small, support local merchants and to reap the rewards of supporting their community. The streets of Davidson County will be bustling with customers looking to contribute to the local economy, so show your favorite businesses some love by supporting them.

In Uptown Lexington in celebration of Small Business Saturday, get a special punch card from one of the 30 participating businesses and spend $15 at any of those businesses to get a punch. After you fill up your punch card, complete the information on the back and turn it back in to be entered into a grand prize raffle which includes a gift basket loaded with merchandise.

Small Business Saturday was founded by American Express in 2010 and has been co-sponsored by the Small Business Association since 2011. It is an important part of small businesses’ busiest shopping season.

  • In 2023, the reported projected spending in the U.S. from those who shopped at small businesses on Small Business Saturday was around $17 billion dollars.

  • Since 2010, the total reported U.S. spending at small businesses during the annual Small Business Saturday is an estimated $201 billion dollars.
