The City of Thomasville Beautification Committee seeks volunteers
Have you driven past areas in your city and wondered why there is so much litter? Litter not only looks bad, it also influences the safety of an area and affects the property value.
The City of Thomasville Beautification Committee is doing something about the litter in Thomasville by announcing their Litter Sweep Program to help keep the city clean and beautiful.
The Litter Sweep Program is run solely by volunteers and meets once a month.
Many months there are only a few volunteers that show up, but there is a lot of trash to be collected. In March 2024, there were 24 bags of trash collected in total in one morning.
If you would like to do something to help keep the area clean, this program is for you.
The Litter Sweep Program is seeking volunteers to join the program and to further their efforts to remove litter from the streets.
The next Litter Sweep is planned for Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. with the volunteers meeting at the clocktower in Downtown Thomasville.
